1. Does your quote include all materials?

Yes. Unless otherwise stated in the quote, all materials and labour for the work you specify will be covered in the quote. If, during the work, we find something unexpected, we will consult with you and gain your approval before purchasing any materials not originally quoted.

2. Do you have a team of people from various trades. For example, painters, electricians, etc.?

We are builders and so we will often call in specialist tradespeople as required. Whatever is needed for your project, we will organise the necessary tradespeople and manage their work for you. This gives you one point of contact to handle your job and takes away the stress of co-ordinating multiple groups of tradespeople.

3. What areas do you travel to for work?

Sam Horn Building serves clients in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, The Hunter Valley, The Central Coast and Dungog. We sometimes will travel beyond these places so, please discuss your requirements with us.

4. Will you handle dealings on our behalf with the local council; for Building Applications for example?

Yes. We will develop an understanding of what you are wanting and provide you with a full quote. On your accepting the quote, we will organise plans and council approvals on your behalf.

5. What happens if we hit problems?

We will do all we can to ensure our quote to you covers all foreseeable requirements to complete your specified work to schedule and to a high standard. Of course, sometimes the unforeseeable occurs. In this case we will ensure you understand what is needed and why. We will seek to sit down with you and negotiate a fair and expedient resolution; to give you peace of mind and keep your job moving toward successful completion.

6. What are your payment terms?

We ask for a 10% deposit on acceptance of our quote. Depending on the size of the job, we may ask to schedule progress payments and payment in full at completion of the work.

7. How do you prefer to be paid?

Payment is usually by Direct Deposit or cheque.

8. Are you fully insured?

We have all the required insurances. Compliance certificates are available should you request them.

7. What warranty do you offer on your work?

We provide a seven year warranty on labour and the manufacturers warranty on materials.

8. We started a DIY job but it is getting harder than we thought. Will you finish it for us?

We'll be happy to look at this for you and quote to complete the work. This often happens so, don't feel bad. It's usually best to get a quote before trying some DIY projects - it can actually save money and heartache to get the professionals in.

9. Will you give me a free, no obligation quote?

We're happy to provide free, no obligation quotes in most cases. Some conditions may apply, for example, depending on the size of the job and the location. Just give us a call to discuss your requirements.

10. What size jobs do you do? Any limits?

We will quote work ranging from repairing minor storm damage or performing general maintenance work through to building your new dream home for you. Whatever you require, discuss it with Sam.
