Hamilton Residence

This project involved a full renovation and rear extension to an existing heritage home in Hamilton, with the aim of keeping the character of the original house while improving the way it worked for modern family living.

Original details including the leadlight bay windows, picture rails and decorative mouldings were retained and restored, while the new extension introduced a more open and functional layout at the rear of the home.

The interior keeps a clear connection to the original architecture, but with a lighter, more relaxed material palette and updated finishes throughout. The result is a home that still feels true to its age, without feeling stuck in it.

The finished renovation brings the old and new parts of the house together in a way that feels deliberate, giving the homeowners more space and better day-to-day functionality without losing the character that made the home worth keeping in the first place.
